Checklist:

• Prepare your manuscript as explained below. Do not forget that
• there is a 10 page limit on the complete manuscript.
• you must leave sufficient space in the lower left cornenr of the first colum (for ACM Copyright information)
• BOTH a hard copy AND an emailed electronic version must arrive by January 5, 2001.

Camera-ready format

• 8 1/2" x 11" paper.

 
• 2-column. (This means two vertical columns of type running down the page. For example, Science uses 3-column format. Nature uses 3-column for its news and views and 2-column for articles.)

 
• No page numbers.

 
• Font: English Times or Times Roman , minimum 9 pt.

 
• Margins:
• Column width: 3.33"
• 2 column gutter: .33"
• Left and Right Margin: from edge .75"
• Top margin: .75"
• Bottom margin: 1.00"
• Copyright space on 1st page: lower left column 1"
• No color figures. The proceedings will be reproduced in black and white and color figures will reproduce at low quality.

Submission Procedure

• Submission must be both by mail and electronic.
• Your paper MUST arrive by January 5, 2001 in order to be included in the proceedings. This deadline applies both to electronic submission and to the printed copy.

 

Electronic Submission

• Electronic submissions should be sent in postscript or PDF to recomb2001@gmd.de.
• The subject line should contain the name of the authors.
• The postscript file should be included as an attachment using a MIME mailer (e.g., netscape, outlook, eudora, pine).

Hardcopy Submission

• Even if you submit an electornic version, you must submit a hardcopy of the manuscript.
• Please submit a camera-ready copy produced on a high-resolution output device of your manuscript.
• Sign the first author's name and write the page number by pencil on the back of each page.
• Do not use staples, paper clips, or anything that will bend, fold, punch holes through or leave marks on the paper.
• The ACM copyright form must be signed and returned with your paper. ACM will not publish any paper that is not accompanied by a signed copyright form. In those cases where there is more than one author per paper, the first-named (assumed senior) author only must sign. Faxed signed forms are not acceptable.
• If you are using extra pages, your manuscript must be accomponied by a check or money order in US dollars made to "ACM/RECOMB'2001". You may purchase up to 2 extra pages at $200 per page.
