Rachel Kolodny

Short Bio.

Rachel Kolodny is a computational biologist in the department of computer science at the University of Haifa, in Israel. Her research focuses on studying protein space, to better understand protein biophysics, and to trace how proteins emerged and continue to evolve. To this end, she has been developing algorithms and computational tools for searching and characterizing the protein structural databases, including FragBag and CyToStruct. Before joining the University of Haifa, she was an HHMI fellow at Columbia University. She earned her BSc. And MSc. from the Hebrew University and her PhD in Computer Science from Stanford university.
