RECOMB 2019 and its satellites will be located at the Lisner Auditorium and Cloyd Heck Marvin Center of the George Washington Campus in the heart of Washington, DC. Lisner Auditorium and Cloyd Heck Marvin Center are located within 6-minute walk from Foggy Bottom metro station and within 12-minute walk from Farragut West metro station. Transportation

There are three major airports and one train station in the Washington, DC region:

  • Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (airport code: DCA)

    The Washington, DC Metrorail system has an elevated Metrorail station connected to the concourse level of Terminals B and C at Reagan National Airport (more details can be found here). To reach Foggy Bottom metro station, one need to take a Blue Line train (Largo Town Center Direction). It costs $3 — $5. The trip takes about 40 — 60 minutes.

  • Washington Dulles International Airport (airport code: IAD)

    • The Silver Line Express Bus provides a convenient, economical connection between Dulles’ Terminal and the Wiehle-Reston East Metrorail Station on Metrotrail’s Silver Line. More details can be found here. To reach Foggy Bottom metro station from Wiehle-Reston East Metrorail Station, one need to take a Silver Line train (Largo Town Center Direction). It costs $8 — $12.50. The trip takes about 60 — 80 minutes.

  • Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (airport code: BWI)

    • BWI Marshall Airport offers free, frequent, and convenient shuttle service between the MARC/Amtrak station and the BWI Marshall Airport terminal. Shuttle Service operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Shuttles run approximately every six to eight minutes except between the hours of 1:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. when service operates every 25 minutes (more details can be found here). At the BWI Marshall Rail station, one can take Amtrak train ($10 — $15) or MARC train ($6 — $8) towards to Washington Union Station. The trip takes about 70 — 90 minutes.

  • Union Station

    • The easiest way reaching Foggy Bottom is to take the metro train from Union Station Metro to Metro Station (red line train towards to Shady Grove). Then change stations and take silver/blue/orange line trains (towards to Wiehle-Reston East/Vienna/Franconia-Springfield Metrorail Station).
