How to buy tickets:
- Purchase tickets at automated vending machines available at all metro stations
- All tickets and personalized cards can be reloaded at the vending machines
- Keep your receipt as proof of purchase
Validation:
- Validate your ticket twice: once when entering and once when exiting through the gates
- Place your ticket/card on the designated reader at the validation machines

Public Bus (OASTH)
Thessaloniki’s public transportation is operated by OASTH (Thessaloniki Urban Transport Organization). Buses cover the entire city and surrounding areas.
