Pavel Pevzner and Phillip Compeau are leading a special session related to their Coursera courses.
This mini-course offers students from the Bioinformatics Specialization on Coursera the opportunity to meet instructors as well as participate in a flipped classroom based on these online courses. Instructors will take student questions in advance from all the courses in the Bioinformatics Specialization and use these questions to design short sessions building on the material covered in each course in the specialization.
More generally, we believe that RECOMB will offer an excellent opportunity for students from the specialization who are interested in transitioning toward a career in bioinformatics to hear talks from the cutting edge of the field.
